Kid-Friendly Eateries
Great Places To Eat With Kids in Columbus
August 25, 2008
I've always liked that there is so much interesting food in Columbus. We have so many types of ethnic food, plus no shortage of steakhouses and burger joints. While there are a few restaurants that would not be thrilled to see you show up with a preschooler in tow, I'd argue most restaurants here are pretty child friendly. Max and Erma's , a chain restaurant that started here in Columbus, is Read more...
I Scream, You Scream, We All LOVE Ice Cream!
July 25, 2008
If you ask Cordy what her favorite food is, she will instantly tell you "ICE CREAM!" (Yes, in all caps.) And while I love ice cream, not just any ice cream will do for us. I try to find ice cream with as few artificial ingredients as possible, because Cordy is very sensitive to many of them. Luckily, there are some amazing ice cream shops here in Columbus, many of which use the best ingredients Read more...
Local Dining With A World View
July 22, 2008
Columbus may be in the Midwest, but that doesn't mean we're a city of nothing but stews, sandwiches and hot dogs. I'm grateful each day that Columbus has so many excellent restaurants that offer foods from around the world, many of which are also child-friendly. Read more...

Layover Lifesavers: A Preschooler's Guide to Port Columbus Airport
July 02, 2008
Photo credit: Stock.xchng Being stuck at the airport for a long layover is bad enough, but I'm guessing it's even worse with a preschooler. My daughters haven't been on a flight anywhere yet, and I think that's a good thing considering their inability to remain seated for 10 seconds. But they've had to spend time at the airport waiting on me, and I've seen other parents trying Read more...
